Diagnosis

Reaching a diagnosis requires careful consideration of your history, examination findings and expert investigation. Dr Unter is trained in dermoscopy (expert assessment using a dermatoscope) facilitating assessment of lesions including differentiating harmless lesions from skin cancers. Dr Unter is also able to diagnose inflammatory rashes, hair and nail changes and can perform surgical biopsies for specialist assessment by a histopathologist as needed.

Medication

Consultant Dermatologists spend their professional life exclusively treating skin disease, giving them the highest level of expertise and experience in the field of dermatology. The latest medical treatments (including topical treatments, tablets and injections) are available for prescription under Dr Unter’s expert supervision.

Surgery

Dr Unter is an experienced skin surgeon. He is capable of removing lesions from the skin for disease prevention or cosmetic preference. He is also skilled at performing precise diagnostic biopsies. As Co-Chair and a Core Member of the South Warwickshire Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Dr Unter is able to offer a complete skin cancer service to his private patients, from biopsy to treatment and surveillance follow-up.
